I had the privilege of attending Heidi Sloss’s class on leadership yesterday. I highly recommend it, especially for people interested in strengthening their leadership skills and business builders in network marketing companies. In a fun and empowering style, Heidi distills the nitty gritty do’s and dont’s of good marketing and shares great ways we can achieve a strong business-life balance. I attended Heidi’s communication workshop. I was blown away by the things I learned about communication. I thought I had this one down, having been a top national sales exec. for 14 years. I was amazed by all the things I learned from Heidi, that showed me how I could still be better at listening and saying exactly what I mean. I am like most professionals, trying to get ahead while satisfying my family, business professionals, customers and all others in my line of fire throughout my life.

 

While attending your workshop, “Create the Life You Want To Live” I found my window. There were so many things I wasn’t doing, first and foremost: not satisfying myself. I wasn’t happy with me and how I was guiding my lifeline. I was letting everything and everybody push me into places that made me uncomfortable and unhappy and I didn’t even realize it.

 

After attending your workshop I now have a better understanding of how I can be true to myself first. In doing so, this is mystically providing better relationships for all involved in my life, better service to my customers and partners–by having boundariers, integrity and most of all being myself.

 

I have a more focused purpose with more direction and find happiness in believing in and applying The Zen of Attraction. Who knew such a formula could be both flexible in my personal as well as my professional life? I have always had goals, but after your workshop, my goals now have more meaning and more life energy behind them.

 

It has always been easy to compare myself with those in business around me, getting lost in the “one ups-man ship” of being a business owner. Who knew the power of simply letting all of that go would be so enlightening? By merely enjoying people, being authentic, and loving what I do…viola—not only do many of my needs disappear, but I seem to get ahead without feeling like I broke my back getting there!

I was attracted to Heidi’s personality and charisma during en eWomenNetwork dinner which made the decision to try her 3 hour $40 workshop an easy one. Heidi carries her gift with her throughout the workshop and really touches on some things that make you think, both while you are there and after you leave.

She directs you through a series of exercises that help you with priorities, accomplishments, toleration in both relationships and business. One of my favorites was “Say Yes to Saying No.”

This is not a huge time or money investment and opened my eyes to exploring more as I don’t feel I have to spend hundreds of dollars and several weeks/appointments in order to feel like I learned something about myself. Small group, no homework, no lectures, no speeches – and she participates right along with you. She even baked us homemade
pumpkin bread with cream cheese!

What I found most helpful about the workshop was the way you used some common techniques in very uncommon and creative ways that elicit serious thinking about patterns in one’s life and specific ways in which the various facets of one’s life may be out of balance. I signed up for Heidi’s Empowerment Salon, let me tell you, It was a total pleasure.

 

Heidi provided an abundance of tools and exercises to support an open, creative, confidential, energetic idea/perspective exchange. There were women there from at least 4 different countries which ensured different belief systems were in play, not to mention women coming from different life stages, roles: divorced, married, young children, older children, aging parents, no children. I must say one of my favorite aspects was hearing all of them talk, sharing their views and questions, etc.

 

Heidi facilitated, answered questions, proposed ideas, and kept us moving forward through a variety of exercises that kept us asking the core questions–questions designed to help us SEE where we are & where we WANT to be.

 

We left with a fine folder of “tools” for us to continue the work at home. In addition, she also provides one-on-one coaching, so this Empowerment Salon started the conversation.

Last weekend, I attended Heidi Sloss’ Empowerment Salon Workhop: Create the Life You Want to Live, Personally and Professionally. I thoroughly enjoyed it and got some great nuggets and insights out of it. This 3 1/2 hour workshop gave me some tools to clarify my priorities, pinpoint my energy drains and develop my personal “Yes List”. I especially loved the mind map and bucket list exercises. My schedule the week leading up the workshop was grueling and I was exhausted when I arrived at the workshop.
